Apple ångar på och redovisade precis sitt bästa Q2 någonsin.
Apple såg sitt resultat stiga med
94 procent till $ 11,6 miljarder, eller $ 12,30 per aktie. Bruttomarginalen blev 47,4 procent. Bolaget sålde 35,1 miljoner
iPhones under kvartalet (+88 procents tillväxt jämfört med Q2 2011), 11,8 miljoner iPads (+151 procentig ökning jämfört
med Q2 2011). Man sålde även 4 miljoner
Mac'ar (7 procentig ökning mot Q2 2011). IPod försäljningen minskade inte helt
oväntat med 15 procent till 7,7 miljoner iPods. IPodens inverkan på resultatet är dock (ytterst) marginell.
“We’re thrilled with sales of
over 35 million iPhones and almost 12 million iPads in the March quarter", sade VD
Tim Cook. “The new iPad is off to a great start, and across the year you’re
going to see a lot more of the kind of innovation that only Apple can deliver.”
“Our record
March quarter results drove $14 billion in cash flow from operations”, sade Peter
Oppenheimer, Apples ekonomichef. “Looking ahead to the third fiscal
quarter, we expect revenue of about $34 billion and diluted earnings per share
of about $8.68.”
